Sexualisation of Women – Seminar

Melinda Tankard Reist is a Canberra author, speaker, media commentator, blogger and advocate for women and girls.
Melinda will run a seminar on the growing concern regarding the hyper-sexualised messages and images entrenched in media, popular culture and public space. As a Christian, Melinda brings a helpful perspective on this issue.
This will be an invaluable night for women aged 16+ as Melinda takes us on a visual ‘tour’ of 170 images from media, popular culture, billboards, magazines, music video clips, games and fashion, Melinda will help us explore the way these messages shape and mould young women’s ideas of themselves, their bodies, and their relationships. There will be a small cost for the night. More details to come.
